Cyprus Passion

Larnaca’s most famous coastal road, ‘Foinikoudes’, combines the beauty of the amazing coast but also entertainment, relaxation and of course culture.

Larnaca is the third largest city on the island after Nicosia and Limassol. It is located on the Southern coast of Cyprus and it is built on the ruins of ancient Kition, also known as Citium in Latin.

Kition was a city-kingdom established in the 13th century BC. It’s most famous resident was the Stoic philosopher Zeno who was the founder of the Stoic School which he taught in Athens from about 300 BC. Stoicisism focuses on the philosophy of personal ethics by its system of logic and its views on the natural world. This city has the primary airport known as both Larnaca International Airport and Larnaca International Airport – Glafkos Clerides. This amazing city is also home to many bars, restaurants, cafes, taverns and cafeterias where you can enjoy your time relaxing while taking in the scenic sea views, while also watching the airplanes passing by to land at the airport.

An awesome place to visit is Larnaca’s salt lake, especially between the months of November and April, since you will have the pleasure to encounter our favorite feathered pink friends, flamingos, who visit the salt lake every year to eat the shrimps! If you are lucky you might just see a black flamingo as the last years they seem to be spotted at this very salt lake in Cyprus.
