Konnos Bay is one of the hidden gems of Cyprus. This secluded beach can be found on the most eastern side of Ayia Napa in the Cape Greco area. This hidden gen attracts many locals but also many tourists too. During summer months this place is full of people enjoying the sand, sun and sea. The weekends get even more full as locals like to hang out for the day and get to cool off in the sea.

Konnos bay complies with the safety and cleanliness standards of the International Blue Flag awards. The amenities and facilities here are also amazing as you can rent equipment, sunbeds and umbrellas. There is also a life guard tower where they monitor the safety of all swimmers and holidaymakers found there. Lifeguards are found during summer months which are April until October.

The beautiful white sand and crystal-clear waters make for the perfect spot to relax and explore this beach. Konnos bay is surrounded by rocky like mountains and you need to descend to the beach area by a sidewalk. The edge of the rocky mountains are lined with pine trees and to get to the area you go by car on a winding snake like road. At the middle of the bay, you will find white shimmery sand but at the end of the bay you’ll find stones. The bay almost never has waves, and is usually pretty calm and peaceful, ideal for families with children. Konnos bay stretches 200 meters in length and a width of around 40 meters.

Once you reach the area you will find parking area to leave your car and make your way by foot down to the beach. Here you will also find a café-snack bar. There are also many water sports to do such as flying fish and bananas and even jet skis. Those less adventurous should try snorkeling, as the crystal waters show many fish in the area.

Very close by are many hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops too. So, once you’ve had your swim and chilled by the sea, grab some food or drinks before you head back home or to your hotel.

Konnos bay should be on the top of your list of beaches to see and experience when in Cyprus. So, try to make a day of it to soak in as much sun sand and sea!
